This is the Other Tools section, part of Tools in the A-LIFE RDM collection. It covers tools that are not listed in the VU Storage Finder (last accessed: 2026-06-25) but are widely used, accepted, and secure in the A-LIFE environment.

Why are these tools listed here?
The tools listed in the VU Storage Finder are for active storage only. For now, we list under Other Tools all tools that are not part of that offering, but are secure, widely used, and accepted for other functions — such as archiving, publishing, and transferring data — in the A-LIFE environment.
Archiving & Publishing¶
Use these tools to archive and publish your finalised research data, assigning a persistent identifier (DOI) for citation and reuse.

Transfer Tools¶
Use these tools to move and share your data efficiently between your device, storage solutions, and collaborators.
- Cyberduck — desktop client for transferring data to Yoda and Research Drive via drag-and-drop
- SURFfilesender — browser-based service for securely sharing large files with collaborators
